As writers, your children will learn the importance of all traits of writing including ideas, sentence fluency, word choice, voice, organization, and conventions. They will learn how to analyze other pieces of writing and established authors. They will bring these techniques (called crafts) into their own writing. As readers, your children will learn how to understand literature by connecting, questioning, inferring, determining importance, establish mental images, and sythesizing information.
