1. Your child MUST be enrolled in Options to receive/use curriculum. If you receive curriculum and withdraw at anytime during the school year, all curriculum must be returned immediately. Withdraw paperwork will not be processed until you are cleared of all books checked out to you.
2. You can order one curriculum per subject (up to 6 subjects) for each child from the approved curriculum list with the exception of Language Arts. You may order all necessary curriculums to cover all of the elements of Language Arts (spelling, writing, reading, vocabulary and grammar). See Language Arts guide on curriculum list for details on which elements are covered in each curriculum.
3. With the exception of the consumables, all books and manipulatives are the property of Options School and will need to be returned on or before the last day of school. Parents will be responsible for any/all damaged or lost items and will be expected to pay replacement costs for those items.
4. You will receive all non-consumable pieces (Teacher’s Editions, Student Texts, manipulatives, etc.) that come with a curriculum unless otherwise specified on your order form.
Note: Due to the high cost of Science Teacher’s editions, only the Student Text will be available through Options.
If your child is taking a class through Options and receives a textbook for that class, you will not be able to order another curriculum for that subject area.
CONSUMABLES:
Grades K through 1 receive 2 consumables
Note: If you have more than two consumables, Options will pay for the two highest priced ones.
Grades 2 through 12 do not receive any consumables. All extra consumables must be paid for when ordering and cannot be returned or refunded.
Note: You can usually find consumables for a better price online (Rainbow Resources, Amazon, Academic Book Services, etc.) or through a local discounted book store (Bookies). We have to order directly from the publisher so even though we offer consumables at cost they are usually more expensive than these other resources. When ordering consumables outside of Options, please make sure to get ISBN’s from the office to ensure that your order the same edition as the books you receive from Options.
SUMMER USAGE:
You may keep your curriculum over the summer if needed, but you will have to bring all of your books to the Options Office on check-in day (site Coordinator will provide you with information on this) and re-check out the items you wish to keep. If you ordered curriculum for the following school year, you will not receive it until you return the books that you used over the summer.
